He is a shy and quiet
boy. He is really excited with his
hero, Charles Muntz. He also has a big ambition to go to Paradise Falls, South
America. In his elderly, he can make his dream come true.
2. Charles
Muntz (Christopher Plummer)
He is an insane, angry and paranoid boy. He has so many dogs to help him finding a giant bird
from Paradise Falls.
3. Russell (Jordan Nagai)
As a Wilderness Explorer
Scout, he is a loud, hyperactive,
anxious, and curious boy. He is also
friendly with animals. He likes chocolate a lot. He wants to complete his final
badge.
4. Ellie
(Elie Docter)
She is a tomboy girl who wants to go to Paradise Falls. She is also inspired
by Charles Muntz. She has a dream to live beside Paradise Falls, South America.
5. Dug
(Bob Peterson)
It is a playful and
friendly dog. It is Muntz’s dog,
but it likes Carl to be its master.

It is a beautiful and friendly bird. It likes chocolate a lot.
b. Synopsis
of the Movie:
Carl
Fredricksen has inspired by Charles Muntz, an explorer. He is really inspired
for Muntz’s adventure to Paradise Falls, South America. He finds Ellie, a
tomboy girl in an old house. She has dreamed to live in Paradise Falls and
filled her adventure book. Carl and Ellie want to make their dream come true.
They get married. In their elderly, Ellie passes away. Carl decides to go to
Paradise Falls with Russell to fulfill his promise to Ellie. Can they Ellie's dream come true.
c. Plot
Carl Fredricksen, a young and quiet boy has watched a real adventure of
his hero, Charles Muntz. He is really
inspired by his hero’s adventure to Paradise Falls, South America. Charles
Muntz has invented his latest find there, a large skeleton of a giant bird. Unfortunately, Nobody believe in him. So,
Charles Muntz promises to bring the giant
bird and he will not go back until he does it.
After the show, Carl runs with his balloon “Spirit
of Adventure”. He runs down the street until he passes an old house. He pays attention to
a girl’s voice from an old
house. He comes inside and he looks Ellie, a young girl who has inspired by
Muntz. He loses his balloon when he heard a
loud voice from Ellie. At first, He does not want to speak
anything. Ellie asks him to be the part of her group. Then Carl wants to get
his balloon back. Ellie forces
him to get it by walk on the beam. Unfortunately, he falls down and breaks his
arm.
In the night, Ellie sends Carl’s balloon and comes
to Carl’s bedroom. He is really surprises at the moment. Ellie wants to show
him something. Ellie asks him to swear that he will not tell anything to
someone and cross his heart. Carl agrees with it. Then Ellie shows her
adventure book. Since the day, they are together and plan their adventure to Paradise
Falls. They are married and move into the old house that they are first met. Carl gets a job as a balloon salesman.
Sadly, Ellie is unable to have a child. So, they decide to go to Paradise
Falls. They collect their money to their adventure planning. In their elderly,
Carl realizes that he never fulfilled his promise. Carl decides to buy a ticket
to South America. Unfortunately, they can’t together forever because Ellie is
sick. She gives her adventure book to Carl. Sadly, she passes away. Carl lives
alone in the
old house.
One day, Russell, A helpful Wilderness Explorer
scout comes to his house. He wants to help Carl and complete his final badge. Carl
does not like him. He is also
in a problem because he hits someone over the head by his walker. He is
confused. In the morning, two gentlemen from Shady Oaks, a retirement village
arrive to pick him up. Surprisingly, He
decides to go to Paradise Falls with his house by using many balloons. He says
goodbye and feels happy. He starts his adventure. Suddenly, he hear the door’s knock. Then
he opens the door. He is surprised by Russell. He does not believe that Russell
still with him. Russell asks to let him in, but Carl does not allow him. He
closes the door. Finally,
He allows Russell to
come in. Russell stands in front of
the window and sees a cumulonimbus cloud. He tells it to Carl, but
he does not hear that. Suddenly,
the rainstorm happens and they cannot control the situation.
They do not realize that the rainstorm has passed
away. They want to fall down. Carl has surprised by the scenery of Paradise
Falls. He does not believe that he sees it clearly. He wants to go there. So,
Carl and Russell decide to go there by walking. They walk in a long time.
Suddenly, Russell wants to defecate and he goes to the forest. Then he finds
footprints of a giant bird. He is looking for the footprints. He eats his
chocolate and something eats it too. He finds a giant bird. He calls it
“Kevin”. He introduces it to Carl. The giant bird gets angry with Carl, but
Russell says that Carl is a nice boy. Russell asks to keep it, but Carl does
not want it. They also find a smart dog that
can speak. Its name is Dug. Then, Russell asks to Carl to allow Dug with them.
At the time, Charles Muntz knows that Kevin with them. So he tries to get the
bird and get it with him. Russell decides to help Kevin and he uses the
balloon. Carl also decides to help Kevin. At last, they get Kevin back. They
save it from Muntz. Carl and Russell reunite Kevin with her chicks. They fly
the dirigible back to the city. Carl presents Russell with his final badge: a
grape soda cap that Ellie gave to Carl when they first met and made their
promise. Then they enjoy some ice cream together. Meanwhile, Carl's house is
shown to have landed on the cliff beside Paradise Falls, as promised to Ellie.
d. Identification of the Introduction, Climax
and Resolution.
1. Introduction
It
starts when Carl has watched his hero’s adventure until he has hurt someone by
his walker and he has decided to go to Paradise Falls.
2. Climax
It
starts when Carl has met a giant bird, Dug and Muntz. At the moment, Muntz
catches Kevin, but they can
get Kevin back.
3. Resolution
It
starts when Carl and Russell reunite Kevin with her chicks and fly back to the
city. Carl gives Russell his final badge: a grape soda that Ellie gave to him.

I think it is a wonderful film. Carl and Ellie have
a great dream for their adventure. The love between Carl and Ellie is really
touch my heart. They are together to get their dream come true. Although Ellie
has not a chance to go to Paradise Falls, Carl can make it true.
